Breakaway is a gated community on Highway 40, the major east-west thoroughfare in Ormond Beach. The main gate is about 2 miles west of I-95 (At Exit 268), making it a very convenient location, close to Wal-Mart, Publix and all the shopping and restaurants located just east of I-95. The front section was built in the late '80's and early '90's and is a bit more established with more mature trees and landscaping. The front section also offers a wider variety of homes and many of the largest homes in the community are in this section. The newer section is across the wooden bridge and offers homes from the mid '90's to the present.
The community is approaching its build-out of about 950 homes. Breakaway has a community pool, tennis courts, playground, soccer field, clubhouse. and is one of our all-time favorite recommendations for families with kids.
